Found singly or in schools in sheltered bays and jetties often close to ship wreaks.
They feed on Invertebrates, algae, jellyfish and gelatinous zooplankton.

Batfish have a flattened profile, juvenile batfish are extremely tall finned, but as they grow they become more rounded.
Often Inquisitive of divers.
