Found in pairs along reef edges and lagoons amongst rubble and sand.
They feed on algae, seagrass and weeds.

Depth - 1-35m
Widespread Indian Ocean
Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
They have venomous spines in the Anal Fin and at both ends of the ventral fin. These can inflict extremely painful injuries.
