Also known as Gudgeon, Reef Goby, Seawhip Goby, Whip Goby, Wire Coral Goby, Yong's Coral Goby, Yonge's Wire Coral Goby.

Found singly or in pairs, living exclusively on the seawhip Cirripathes anguina, over current swept drop-off's, in lagoons, back reefs and seaward reefs.
They feed on zooplankton.
Length - 3.5cm
Depth - 3-45m
Widespread Indo-Pacific
