Description

Also known as Spinefoots, Common Foxface, Yellow Foxface and Foxface Spinefoot.

Found singly or in small groups in coral rich areas of lagoons and outer reefs, often sheltering in staghorn corals.
They feed on algae, seagrass and weeds.
Length - 24cm
Depth - 30m
Widespread West Pacific

Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
They have venomous spines in the Anal Fin and at both ends of the ventral fin. These can inflict extremely painful injuries.
