Also know as Spinefoots, Dusky Spinefoot, Mottled Rabbitfish, Mottled Spinefoot, Pearly-spotted Rabbitfish, Pearly-spotted Spinefoot, Black Rabbitfish, Black Spinefoot, Sandy Rabbitfish, Sandy Spinefoot, Pinspot Rabbitfish and Pinspot Spinefoot.

Found in schools in very shallow waters on sheltered inner reef slopes and lagoons feeding on seagrass beds at low tide moving to deeper waters at low tide.
They feed on algae, seagrass and weeds.

Widespread East Indo-Asian Pacific

Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
They have venomous spines in the Anal Fin and at both ends of the ventral fin. These can inflict extremely painful injuries.
