Found singly, on mud and sand bottoms, sometimes resting close to coral bommies, and wrecks, over inshore coastal, and off-shore coral reefs.
They feed on crustaceans and molluscs.
Length - 300cm
Depth - 3-90m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific
