Also known as Bigeye Jack, Bigeye Kingfish, Crevalle Jack, Dusk Jack, Dusky Jack, Giant Trevally, Horse Mackerel, Horse Mackerel Trevally, Horse-eye Jack, Jackfish, Kingfish, Orange-spotted Trevally, Sixband Trevally, Six-banded Trevally, Trevally, Yellow Jack.

Found during the day in large stationary schools, or slowly moving over the reef, dispersing at night to feed over coastal and oceanic reefs. Often inquisitive of divers.
They feed on crustaceans, fish, and squid.
Juveniles found in estuaries.
Length - 100cm
Depth - 0-140m
Widespread Eastern Pacific, Indo-Pacific
