Found in pairs or small groups inshore to outer reefs often in turbid waters.
They feed on algae, seagrass and weeds.

Depth - 2-15m
Widespread West Pacific
Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
They have venomous spines in the Anal Fin and at both ends of the ventral fin. These can inflict extremely painful injuries.
